I work in green wood in the woodlands of Yorkshire; currently Strid Wood at Bolton Abbey and Gibson Mill, Hardcastle Crags, Hebden Bridge. I work where there is a high volume of passing public which makes for a mixture of banale and interesting conversations and comments. My tools and methods are traditional – axes, chisels, a pole lathe and shaving horse. My website is here: www.flyingshavings.co.uk

I took a walk around Bolton Abey yesterday and came across your workshop quite by chance. I was enchanted and inspired to look you up on the web. What a fabulous place to be and I celebrate you on your endeavours.
